ClinPath (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website clinpath.in and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use ClinPath.

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Name and email address (at registration)
• College, degree, and domain of interest (when you use our tools)
• CV content, job descriptions, and interview responses submitted to our AI tools
• Messages sent via contact forms

1.2 Information collected automatically

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Platform
• Referral source (how you found ClinPath)

1.3 Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with ClinPath. These tools may collect anonymised usage data including page views, scroll depth, and click patterns. Microsoft Clarity records heatmaps and session replays — no passwords or payment details are captured.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the AI-powered tools on ClinPath
• To personalise your experience (e.g. remembering your domain preference)
• To track your usage against free-tier limits and enforce them fairly
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, account-related alerts)
• To send our weekly newsletter if you opt in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To process payments for Pro subscriptions or expert bookings
• To analyse platform usage and improve our product
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your CV content or interview responses to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. AI Tools & Data Processing

When you use our AI-powered features (CV Builder, ATS Checker, Interview Prep, Mindset Corner, Roadmap), your input is sent to a third-party AI API provider to generate responses. Inputs are processed in real time and are not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the request, in accordance with their privacy policies.

We store the outputs (e.g. generated CVs, scores) only when you explicitly save them to your account. You can delete saved content from your account settings at any time.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Row Level Security (RLS) on all database tables, and JWT-based authentication.

Payment processing is handled exclusively by Razorpay. ClinPath never stores your card numbers, bank details, or UPI IDs.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep it confidential.

5. Cookies

ClinPath uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in), analytics (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity), and preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if you do.

6. Third-Party Services

ClinPath uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
• Razorpay — payment processing
• Brevo (Sendinblue) — email delivery and newsletter management
• Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics
• Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps
• Cal.com — expert session scheduling
• Google Sign-In (OAuth) — optional authentication

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time (via unsubscribe link)
• Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable)

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g. transaction records for payment compliance purposes, which are retained for 7 years as per Indian GST regulations).

9. Children's Privacy

ClinPath is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of ClinPath after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
